Valuations Director
Allied Business Group is a mergers and acquisitions and business valuation firm focused on the lower middle-market. The majority of Allied's work is sell-side advisory; helping business owners sell their companies for maximum value. We are currently looking to fill the Valuations Director position.

As the Valuations Director, you will be charged with leading our valuations practice. Business valuations are a core capability of Allied Business Group. We provide business valuations for a variety of purposes including: exit planning, estate and gift tax, charitable donations, goodwill impairment, ESOPs, divorce cases, shareholder disputes, SBA loans, and buy-sell agreements among other purposes. As the Valuations Director your responsibilities are to procure new valuation engagements and ensure the timely and accurate completion of valuation reports.

Procure new valuation engagements::
• Network with attorneys, financial planners and other advisors in order to obtain referral sources for valuation engagements
• Attend valuation conferences and events
• Reach out to various professionals and professional organizations
• Provide valuation quotes to prospective clients
• Formally engage valuation clients
• Assist in growing the business valuation practice

Ensure timely and accurate completion of valuation reports:
• Be the primary point of contact for valuation clients
• Create valuation reports following USPAP standards
• Manage valuation pipeline
• Oversee and manage the valuation team
• Stay current on valuation trends and financial reporting requirements
• Perform other tasks as required for this position

Requirements for applicants:
• Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
• At least one of the following business valuation certifications: ASA, CBA, CVA, ABV
• Comprehensive understanding of prevailing issues related to valuations and the positions of various governing bodies such as the SEC, IRS and USPAP
• Demonstrated business development experience
• Experience valuing closely-held firms
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Extensive Excel-based modeling experience

Preferred but not required:
• CPA or CFA designation
• Masters in Business Administration or a related field
• Experience conducting business valuations for litigation purposes and acting as an expert witness
