Financial Analyst
Allied Business Group is a mergers and acquisitions and business valuation firm focused on the lower middle-market. The majority of Allied's work is sell-side advisory; helping business owners sell their companies for maximum value. We are currently looking to fill a full-time financial analyst position.
Allied's financial analysts provide critical support to the firm's Managing Directors through a variety of support activities. Financial analysts work on both business valuations and mergers and acquisitions functions.
As a financial analyst your responsibilities will include:Provide valuation support through the following activities:
• Create pro forma financials
• Create forecasts
• Employ various valuation methodologies
• Conduct industry research
• Perform industry write-ups
• Assist in client/management interviews
Provide M&A support through the following activities:
• Assist in creating offering memorandums
• Conduct industry research
• Support managing directors and others in due diligence tasks
• Research prospective buyers
• Conduct marketing campaigns for prospective buyers
• Maintain deal documentation
• Assist with transaction analysis
• Review legal documents such as letters of intent and purchase agreements
Provide infrastructure support through the following activities:
• Create educational documents regarding business valuation and the M&A process
• Assist with project generation and development
• Perform miscellaneous infrastructure projects
Requirements for applicants:
• An undergraduate degree in either finance or accounting from an accredited university
• Exceptional work ethic that can accommodate a demanding profession
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Preferably a background in financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies
